Window & Door Sales Representative

General Summary: Thermal Windows and Doors a vinyl replacement window & door manufacturer in the United States, is in search of a professional to fill the position of Field Sales Representative.  This position has UNLIMITED INCOME POTENTIAL.  This position includes a base salary along WITH COMMISSION. Territory Covered: Central/Western - PA, NJ, Northern VA
Responsibilities include maintaining and developing relationships with existing and new customers at all levels. The emphasis on building rapport and relationships with individuals and groups requires an outgoing, poised and persuasive communication style.  Additionally, this position will provide product, installation and sales training for customers and other sales professionals, and will be involved in problem resolution as it pertains to customers.  The ability to speak in front of a large group is essential.  
This person will be goal oriented and expected to maintain and grow existing business.  Candidate should possess the ability to act independently and the confidence to handle a variety of challenges.   A full commitment to the success of the business and high standards of achievement are expected in this position.  The job environment is flexible, constantly changing, and provides growth opportunity, recognition, and reward for the achievement of business results. Candidates should be experienced in window and door sales and must have a proven ability to acquire new business and grow market share through building materials dealers. Hunter characteristics required for position as this is not an account maintenance position.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent proven work experience.  

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of manufacturer’s sales experience in the window industry or other building products industry.  Solid knowledge and a good understanding of the window industry.
  • Prospecting ability to develop new business and work with existing distribution customers to prospect new business with and for them.
  • Knowledge of the building products end users in assigned market; Builders, Contractors, & Specifiers.
  • The ability to travel overnight 5 to 10 nights per month.  This may vary higher and lower as business demands.
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Technical ability to solve customer related product challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be self-disciplined.
  • Competency and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Hunter versus Farmer mentality.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 20-30lbs sample units, move about the work site, turn on and operate a computer in the applicable environment, communicate efficiently and effectively on the telephone or in person, and complete required paperwork. 

Working Conditions:

Travel Orientated.  Long Hours in the car.
